Whether you are just appealing to the traffic policeman who got you, or you are already in court asking the judge not to convict you or you are already about to appeal the judge’s decision, appealing a speeding ticket is a lot of hard work. So if you want to get that $200-$500 back, if you want that point not in favor of your license back or if you just want lower insurance rates, then get that body of yours ready because here are some tips on appealing a speeding ticket fast and easy.
With the traffic policeman
This is the easiest stage on appealing a speeding ticket. But that is relative to the trial and the appeal stage. Once you got caught, be on your best behavior. Stop and pull over as soon as you as you hear the sirens blaring, open your lights in the car as soon as the traffic guy some up, talk to him in a polite way and not as if he is the guy that stole Christmas, give him what he asks and basically do everything in your will to make him to like you.
The more he likes you the better are your chances that he will let you go only with a stern warning to drive more safely next time. If the polite way of doing it does not seem to work, then you may try to give him the reason why you were going 70 mph on a 40 mph street. Explain that maybe your wife is in labor and you are rushing to get to her because she said she wanted to hold your hand while the baby is coming out or maybe you are rushing to meet stop your best friend from leaving to another continent because you are about to ask her to marry you. Appealing a speeding ticket this way may make the policeman listen with his human being side and he may turn a deaf ear to the government paid employee part of him and let you off with a warning and maybe even a good luck.
In the courtroom
Always come in court room looking very responsible and nice. Leave the bike shorts or the low neck, backless piece of clothing you call a blouse (which your mother calls a handkerchief) at home. Make sure you are presentable and remember, it is best to be overdressed than underdressed. Think of it as a job interview. Also, do not be late. Attend your court date lest you get on the bad side of the judge and even make him so mad that he issues a warrant for you for wasting the court people’s time. Before your trial is heard, have your fact straightened out and you may even want to consult a lawyer on what to say. It may cost you a bit but you will still end up sort of saving as your insurance rates will no longer go through the roof.
Appeals
In appealing a speeding ticket after a judge found you guilty, you may need a lawyer for that already.

Help answer the question about speeding tickets
Do you have a negative opinion of police because of speeding tickets? The only time many of us EVER interact with the police is when they are handing out tickets for minor infractions of the speeding law. Do you feel this gives the police a rather significant black eye in terms of how they are viewed by the general public?
Let me add this little detail. I can go out to a highway right now and see 95% of the cars (assuming traffic is actually moving, which it often isn't) going safely 10 MPH over the limit. Nobody's cutting anyone off, nobody's tailgating — ok, sure there is always some jackass out there going 95 switching lanes, but we aren't discussing him.
Are all of these people "criminals"? Are all of these people needing to be "saved" as some of you are suggesting? Be real people, studies have shown repeatedly that MOST people will drive at a safe speed for the road and the conditions and its most dangerous when cars are traveling at significantly different rates. So, where is the crime?
Why is it that so many people's ONLY crime in life is speeding? Must we all be "sinners" in the eyes of our law?
And back to the point of the question, is there a significant cost to the relations of the police and the public as a result? By posing the question, you can infer my opinion: there is one.
Curt: EXACTLY!!!!!! Everyone on the road knows who should be getting the ticket, except for the police.
And then there's the whole catch 22, Mr. Police Officer. If I am on the highway going EXACTLY the speed limit, I have people running up my ass, cutting me off, doing all kinds of super crazy shit.
Personally, I think everyone should respect the right of others to follow the law. But that's not reality. My odds of being in an accident TRIPLE if I drive below the speed limit by even 3 MPH.

how is this not a real photo?
Nice work, you did pretty good.
how busy is the court???? maybe they will just dismiss it!
The judge will ask you something along the lines of: "How do you plead to the sole charge of speeding?"
If you want to appeal then say Not Guilty.
A court date will be set and the officer will be subpoenaed.
Come back in a month and state your case. The officer will probably testify to the speed limit in the area you were clocked and the fact there are speed limit signs out there.
Brilliant Willy, Just Brilliant =D
If you appeal, make sure you show up in person. Written appeals always get ignored. If you show up, I heard you have like a 60% chance of winning even if you were speeding.
If I understand your question, you are asking what is usually a bunch of cops on here, if you should lie to get out of a ticket. Then asking what the worst thing is that could happen to you.
1. It is morally wrong to lie, it is criminally wrong to lie under oath.
2. The worst that could happen to you is that you burn in hell for eternity (Worst case scenario ), but more likely you would probably get fined court cost and the ticket amount. You can ask for a payment plan..
amazing! Willy teach me how to paint like you!
Perfect.
Your friend is incorrect. Did you notify the court yet you are appealling? If not, on the court date that is on the ticket, you need to appear and plea not guilty and ask for a trial. Be prepared, because the judge can ask you if you want to proceed right then and there.
It is good to hire an attorney to represent you in this type of case. If you are not aware…15 mph or over is also considered reckless driving in NH and most other states as well. What this means is that even if you pay the ticket…the state will suspend your driving privleges from 90 days to six months.
There are many remedies and judges will usually reduce the ticket to ten over…or in some cases to "failure to obey a traffic sign or control device." This is why it is imperative for you to hire an attorney…should cost you $100-150 for them to represent you for one hour. Initial consults are free. Call one and save your license, your insurance rate, and your dignity…and slow down…life is way to short to drive like a baffoon.
"I was going only 71 in 60 speeding limit."
Umm, are you not aware that 60 mph speed limit is the UPPER limit? You really didn't think it was the minimum to be driven at all times did you?
YOU WERE SPEEDING!
Hint: any time the number on your speedometer is a higher number than the number on the speed limit sign, YOU ARE SPEEDING!
Whether anybody else is speeding, is irrelevant.
Ben F, there is no excuse, and it is against the agreement you have with Yahoo, to call others idiots. Yes, everybody has the right to dispute a traffic ticket, but, as I tried to make clear, everybody else in the country could be speeding, that does not work as an axcuse if you get ticketed. There is no such thing as robbing a bank "just a little", murdering somebody "just a little", or speeding "just a little", and a judge will happily tell a defendant that. One can only hope for a sympathetic judge who will mitigate the offence, and that only comes with a plea of stupidity, coupled with an apology..
Very nice!!
hm i couldn’t tell the difference between photograph and painting comparing the final resault.
This is sick
A loin cloth.
woww that’s really relax and beatiful soung .good picture of jhony depp !
pay the fine more than likely you will not lose your license for the first one.. it cost you more to appeal with court cost added on to the fine once you found guilty.
state your name as Kennedy and you will get a suspended sentence for driving drunk, manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident and be elected Senator. otherwise you are screwed..maybe raped by a Kennedy..
