Beat a Traffic Ticket

Beat a Traffic Ticket

Getting pulled over can be a pretty stressful event. Not only is it stressful, but it can be awfully embarrassing. With the bright, flashing lights and the traffic piled up behind you, it definitely isn’t one of the most glamourous ways of gaining someone’s attention. Add that to the fact that you could be stuck with a hefty fine (depending upon the traffic violation),it’s easy to see why traffic tickets can be such a pain.

Now, if you deserved the traffic ticket and were breaking the law, you shouldn’t try to get out of a ticket. On the other hand, if you believe you got a traffic ticket and weren’t doing anything wrong and don’t deserve that ticket, then there are ways that you can legitimately fight it in court. That’s right – You can actually beat the system by proving why you didn’t deserve the ticket you received, and it’s a lot easier than you may think!

One of my favorite things to say is that “It doesn’t hurt to try”, and I firmly believe in that. So, don’t sit back and pay the fine if you didn’t commit the fault you’re being blamed for. You need to make sure you put up a fight, because you have every single right to do so.

People beat traffic tickets every single day, and you’ll be happy to know that you don’t need any special representation in order to fight your ticket. There are many different tactics that you can use to fight your ticket, and I’ll show you where you can find out these secret loopholes that will get you out of your traffic ticket fast!

Help answer the question about beat speeding ticket

Can I beat a speeding ticket from a state trooper in Massachusetts?
Yes I was speeding. I was driving in one direction and the officer passed me going the opposite way. How do I know that his radar picked up my car and not the one in front or behind me? There were 2 officers in the patrol car. Does this lessen my chances of winning?

Most driving offenses, such as hit and run, reckless driving, and driving under the influence, are designated as 2 points and will remain on your record for seven years from the violation date. Most other offenses are designated as 1 point and will remain on your record for three years from the violation date. Any “at fault” accident is normally counted as one point.

my first speeding ticket I ended up going to court the police officer didn’t show and I got lucky the judge looked at me said be careful out there no more speeding and the ticket was dismissed… didn’t cost me anything!

If you go to court and the police officer notices his mistakes before the case starts and your sworn in the officer can have the ticket amended.

if there were cones, that still means it's a construction area. Sorry but for the sake of your driving record, if you can go to traffic school, DO IT!

Don't fight it because you will loose. Don't waste money on a lawyer! Going with the flow of traffic isn't a defense. Just because others are doing it, isn't a defense. You are lucky he didn't nail you for your actual speed.

My husband got nailed with a speeding ticket where the cop just picked off people that were speeding (speed trap). You don't fight these things – you waste time/money in traffic school but it stays off your record and doesn't increase your auto insurance rates.

dude, just postpone the court date, then pleade not guilty. Chances are the cop will not show up to court with the judge and all that. You will still have to pay when you show up to court to set the court date, but they will return your money if the cop does not show to court. This works most of the time. I did it once and saved myself $200+ for speeding

My boyfriend had purchased one. I read through it and it contained quite a bit of helpful info. I would say it was worth the $20.00 or so he paid!

    1. Go to court on the assigned date of your ticket.
    2. Tell the traffic ticket clerk/cashier that you will plea not guilty. He/she will assign another date for you to appear in court.
    3. Go to the assigned courtroom on your second date of appearance.
    4. The prosecutor will give you a choice to reduce your ticket to a non-moving violation for a fee.
    5. Pay the fee, go to traffic school if required, and you will not have any points on your record. No insurance hikes, no traffic record.
    6. Hiring a traffic attorney is a waste of money, you will pay almost or over $200 for the attorney to do the above steps for you. Only hire an attorney, if you have numerous charges on your ticket, or can't attend court due to work.

Never plea guilty and pay the ticket on the first court day. Pleaing guilty on the first court date will automatically add points to your record. The court is willing to bargain with those who fight the ticket, just to avoid trial. It's legalized extortion.

you keep saying PCH… am i missing something but what is PCH?? oh nice scenery btw, i can see how easy it would be to zone out with the conditions your riding in.

I’ll add to that. If you are a new resident to the state of California it is 5 years instead of 3. I think it stays like this for a few years.

  13. brian s says:

If you can't go to court, you can't plead not guilty on the case. There is no way to fight a ticket without going to court.

Also, there is no such thing as a "rolling stop". You etither come to a complete stop, or you do not.

  16. fr3d42o says:

You will need to take pictures of the intersection. Show where you were and where you were pulled over. That should be obvious that you weren't turning left. The officer is supposed to state his case first. Then your turn. You probably have a 75% chance of getting out of it.

  17. Law says:

Just tell her to suck it up and pay the fine, try to more careful when out driving a lethal weapon, as I may be coming the other way next time!

  18. Carla K says:

There are attorneys who handle traffic cases. If you are not convicted, it never gets on your record.
